Cast Off!

Cast Off!

Sometimes, this expression is used to say we're leaving the dock.  We're casting off to go out in the vessel.  Maybe we're trying to get away.

May be an image of sky and text that says 'Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Peter 5:6-7 KJV)- heartiight.org'
At other times, we speak of casting off our burdens, our cares, our worries.  Let's combine the two meanings into a BIG QUESTION:  What shall we cast off and where should we go?

The answer lies in the following scriptures, along with the reason!
1) Go to the LORD.
2) Cast your burdens on Him.
3) ...because He cares for you!

Put yourself in His care!

1 Peter 5:6-7

6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time, 7 having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.
